In a world where economic challenges and lack of access to quality education can often hinder the dreams of young people, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development offers a remarkable opportunity that has the power to transform lives. Their learnership program is a shining beacon of hope for unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35 who have completed at least Grade 10, providing them with the chance to kickstart their careers and forge a brighter future.

What is the Learners’ Program?
This innovative program is designed to empower and equip unemployed youth with the necessary skills and practical experience in the dynamic fields of agriculture and rural development. Far beyond mere theoretical learning, the program immerses participants in hands-on training, equipping them with the real-world competencies that are in high demand within their local communities. The learners’ program recognizes that true growth happens through active engagement and practical application, preparing these young individuals to step into meaningful, fulfilling roles upon completion.

Monthly Stipend: Earning While You Learn
One of the standout features of this program is the monthly stipend provided to enrolled learners. This financial support serves as a game-changer, allowing participants to focus on their studies and skill development without the constant worry of meeting their basic needs. Imagine the empowerment that comes from gaining highly sought-after expertise, building an impressive resume, and earning a steady income – all simultaneously. This unique opportunity can be the catalyst that transforms the trajectory of a young person’s life, opening doors to a future filled with possibility.
